LEIGH Super Jigs has many of the same features as the Leigh D4R Pro Dovetail Jig and offers great value. They come in 12", 18", and 24" models to meet the needs of every woodworker and every budget. You can rout varying distances through dovetails and half-blind dovetails in different material sizes and thicknesses in two passes, or both sides of fixed measurements on half-blind dovetails simultaneously. Super Jigs can also create sliding dovetails and 5/16" and 5/8" box joints (straight) right out of the box.
Super Jigs are designed for use by woodworking enthusiasts of all levels. Leigh has made advanced joinery simple in every way, with user guides and instructional videos available for everyone!
Which router should I use?
Leigh recommends a medium-sized router with an 8 mm collet for the included router bits. Similar to the Festool OF 1400 or other routers of the same size. It also includes a collet from 1/2" - 8mm if it fits your router's original. This size provides a good balance of power and weight. Routers with a fixed base are ideal because they have a lower center of gravity with handles mounted on the router base rather than the motor. When purchasing a router, also consider ergonomics, flexibility, and adjustment options. It's important to have a router that maintains precision.
What is included?
1 router bit set
3 router bits with 8mm shank (box joint, dovetail, half blind)
1 guide collet (adapter plate may be needed for your router)
Tool for adjusting fingers and collets
1 template for setting finger spacing.
